PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Seville, Spain, obtained in 2012, with the thesis “Study of the behavior on non-crimp fabric laminates by 3D finite element models” which was part of the Doctoral program: "Fundamentals for Engineering Design Mechanics " and to which the maximum grade was attributed unanimously, Apto, Cum Laude. In 2009, was awarded the Diploma of Advanced Studies with the final grade of Outstanding by Unanimity and the investigative sufficiency in the area of Mechanics of Continuous Mediums and Theory of Structures that allowed me to begin initiate my Doctoral research. In 2001, obtained the diploma and bachelor’s degrees (both pre-Bologna and equivalent to Masters) in Mechanical Engineering at the Lisbon Higher Institute of Engineering (ISEL) of Portugal. He has the Certificate of Pedagogical Aptitude (CAP) in 2005, which was awarded by the Employment and Vocational Training Institute of the Ministry of Labor and Social Solidarity of Portugal. Awarded the predoctoral fellowship "PROTEC - Support Program for Advanced Training of Teachers of Polytechnic Higher Education" in 2010, funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology of the Ministry of Education and Science of Portugal. The date of completion of the scholarship was in 2012 when I obtained the title of Doctor. Sixteen years of experience in public higher education and accumulated more than 6,000 hours lecturing First and Second Cycles Engineering Programs. In the Spring semester of the academic year of 2014/2015, he became a Faculty in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the Higher Colleges of Technology in the United Arab Emirates. Since 2002, he has lectured and coordinated more than 20 different courses in various scientific areas of Mechanical Engineering, for example, Technical Drawing, Composite Materials, Materials Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Aerodynamics, Computer Aided Manufacturing, among others. Held various management positions in Higher Education, such as Program Chair of the master’s degree in mechanical engineering - Design and Mechanical Production at the Technology Higher School of Abrantes of the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, Program Chair of the Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering at the Higher Colleges of Technology - Abu Dhabi Men's Campus and Engineering Division Chair, and Chair of the B.Sc. and M.Sc. Programs in Mechanical Engineering, at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar (IPT). He has actively participated in several academic committees and made part of the organizing committee of the International Conferences. Since 2010, he is member of the research group GERM - Group of Elasticity and Strength of Materials of the University of Seville in Spain. The results of my research have been published in several scientific papers of the most important journals in the area and also have several participations in National and International Conferences.
