PhD in Mathematics (specialization in Applied Mathematics) by the University of Coimbra, Master in Statistics and Operational Research by the University of Lisbon and Degree in Mathematics (scientific branch) by the University of Coimbra. With a teaching experience of more than 30 years, he is currently Coordinating Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, in the area of Mathematics, namely in the disciplinary areas of Mathematical Analysis, Numerical Analysis and Operational Research. President of the Coordination Council for the Evaluation of Teaching Staff at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar and President of the Technical and Scientific Council of the Technology Higher School of Tomar. He was Director of the Technology Higher School of Tomar. Integrated member of the Telecommunications Institute where he is the Head of the Applied Mathematics Research Group at the Pole of Coimbra. Develops its research activity in the areas of Complementarity, Linear, Non-Linear and Global Optimization. In this project you will contribute with the following skills: Models and Algorithms for solving global optimization problems (linear, quadratic, complementary, two-level problems).
