She is an Assistant Professor to the Department of Computer Engineering of the School of Technology and Management of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, where she has been teaching for about 30 years in the areas of Programming, Knowledge Engineering, Business Intelligence and Security Analytics having also mentored dozens of undergraduate and master's students. She is also a researcher at the Center for Research in Informatics and Communications of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, currently belonging to the coordinating committee. She has a degree in Computer Engineering in Systems and Automation and a master's degree from the University of Coimbra in the area of, and PhD from the University of Minho in Technologies and Information Systems, having developed the dissertation in the area of Business Intelligence. She co-authored about two dozen peer-reviewed scientific publications, having participated in several projects. Your scientific interests cover the areas of knowledge engineering, business analytics, data mining, text mining, data warehousing, business intelligence, data visualization, security analytics.
