S. Santos was born in France on November 19, 1977. He obtained the Specialist Certificate in Manufacturing and Repairing on Motor Vehicles with the work Scientific Accident Reconstruction. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Polytechnic of Leiria, Portugal, in 2002. He is currently Adjunct Professor at the Mechanical Engineering Departmental in Unit of Automotive Engineering at Polytechnic of Leiria, he is also Coordinator of the Course on Automotive Technology at School of Technology and Management. Professional experience of more than twenty years in Accident Reconstruction Expertise’s, occupying several functions in various entities. He was Technical Diretor of DEKRA Portugal expertise’s, Managing partner in Sermotive – Automotive Engineering Services, and Coordinator Auditor in Portuguese Institute of Accreditation. His main research interests are Automotive Engineering, Structural Crashworthiness behavior, Impact mechanics, Accident Reconstruction, Composite Materials.
